A few improvements

Postica has had some minor changes completed tonight.

First, is the removal of the 140 character limit - you can now type your notes as long as you would like. Your note will only show the first 200 characters (give or take). To view the entire note you can ‘double click’ the note.

The 140 character limit was more of a decision when twitter integration was completed. However, as we ponder new integrations and platforms it made sense to remove this limitation.

The second change is an improvement to the auto-suggest on the sharing of notes. Now when you type in an email you will see a list of anyone that you have sent a note too. If the person has an account will you will see the person’s registered name as well as their email address.

We are going to improve this even further in the future with the ability to manage your friend list.

With the recent move by Google to discontinue the development of Google Notebook Mashable has rounded up the top 20 online note taking services.

Postica is in the company of some great sites like Evernote and Microsoft OneNote. Postica has always been about doing one thing really well and trying to find the balance between ease of use and functionality.

New Note Interface

We launched a minor re-design when adding a new note. It provides a cleaner form layout that should be a little more visually appealing.

We are hoping to launch a type of friends list which will make it easier to share your notes.

Print your notes

You can now format your notes to print them out. From the top menu click on the ‘print’ link which will open a new window with your notes that you can take to a meeting or carry around with you.

A couple more quick little things. When you login you can now ask postica to remember you which will keep you logged in. This will be rolled out to the iGoogle app as well really soon. The notes now support carriage returns which many users have asked for. Keep the suggestions coming! We love feedback.

New email delivery of notes - you can now set your sticky notes to be delivered to you each day or once a week to your inbox. Download any attachments directly from the email.

Filter your notes on the fly - using postica’s new search you can filter your notes based on keywords without leaving or refreshing the screen.

New services page - when you login you can control all of the postica services under one page. Update your twitter settings, change your email notifications or check out our iGoogle gadget.

Better designed sticky notes - the notes are now bigger and have a nicer design.

Set a background - On your sticky note wall you can now set either a background color or select one of the themes. Just a little more personalization for postica.

Postica get’s refreshed

We have updated the look of postica. Once you login you will notice cleaner design that gives you more room for your notes. As well, we have improved the notes themselves and refined some of the operations. Keep tuned for even more exciting features.

Stikkit leaving you in the dark?

Today Techcrunch announced that Twitter has aquired Value of n and that one of their applications Stikkit will be closing it’s doors.
